Conformation Beginning with the large frame cattle that were the original Lasater Beefmaster phenotype has provided an exceptional cow herd for development of young cattle that conform to the desired characteristics of the modern Beefmaster. The introduction of new genetics to these cows has resulted in heifers which have clean, bladed underlines and bulls that have properly angled sheaths. While carefully avoiding breeding that results in "tight cattle" and other associated detrimental characteristics, Rancho Tres Hijos has opted for a more balanced set of cattle but one that clearly pays attention to underline.
