Weight

The growth of the calves that are being raised at Rancho Tres Hijos is exceptional. Calves are typically small at birth but have been bred to grow rapidly so that they reach high weights at weaning. Calves are weighed at weaning and at one year of age.

Performance records are carefully watched with particular attention to weights and scrotal measurements of bull calves at weaning and at one year of age.

The large, long bodied mother cows in our herd that embody the original Beefmaster concepts help assure us that their offspring will have outstanding growth and gain ability. Long cattle will weigh more at the packing house.
